Squires Cafe
- Saturday 24th April
We kicked off the first of our show events for this year at the famous Squires Cafe Bar, located at Newthorpe Lane, Nr Sherburn-in-Elmet, West Yorkshire. Squires is a regular meeting point and watering hole for hundreds of bikers from all over the region and beyond.
If you've been before then we're preaching to the converted, but if you haven't then you really need to wheel out the bike, kit up and head over. Put your feet up for an hour, have some food and drink and just enjoy the atmosphere. Take a peek at their website to see some of the events that are going on.
The Whiteknights are a UK wide voluntary organisation who not only give their time to run the service but also raise the funds to buy, kit out and maintain the bikes. They transport urgently needed blood supplies, tissue and lab samples for hospitals throughout the region. Not only a worthy cause to raise funds for but a service any one of us might just benefit from one day.
Ian and Tony who run the All Year Biker franchises for the East and West Yorkshire areas came over to demonstrate our Halo Smart Clean treatment and answer any questions on the process.
During the day they carried out several treatment sessions that we'd offered as raffle prizes to the York Advanced Motorcyclists group who where there to raise funds for the Whiteknights Blood Bikes
More information on the oranisation and the service they offer can be found on their website
Our thanks also to the members of the York Advanced Motorcyclists organisation, well worth a visit to their website if you're
looking to improve your riding skills.
Some Photo's of the day
All set up and ready to go, Ian and Tony make a start on the first bike of the day
Keeping the Blood Bikes in good order means more than making them look good. These bikes go out all year round regardless of the weather. The Halo Smart Clean treatment with ACF50 anti-corrosion protection should ensure they're ready to face whatever conditions are thrown at them.
Paul Bowen was one of the lucky raffle winners, and he seems to be quite happy with the results!

All in all an excellent day, we like to say a huge thanks to the managment and staff of Squires Cafe for having us there for the day and providing the facilities and hospitality.
